Manatee in British Columbia Shallow Water

Soft, diffused light falls through the exceptionally clear water, illuminating a massive manatee moving slowly across a sandy bottom. Late autumn air hangs heavy, yet the water remains calm with only gentle ripples disturbing the surface. The creature's gray, textured skin contrasts against the pale sediment below. Layers of depth recede into the distance, where submerged vegetation blurs into the cool blue haze. Sunlight penetrates the water column, creating shifting patterns of brightness on the riverbed. The water's clarity reveals every ripple on the surface and the subtle movement of the animal's tail. A faint reflection of the overcast sky shimmers on the water's edge.
