Manatee in Iceland Spring Water Polar Night

Soft overcast light falls through the surface of a cold Icelandic spring, illuminating a manatee drifting mid-water. The animal's gray, wrinkled skin contrasts with the crystal-clear turquoise surroundings. Tiny suspended particles glitter in the water column, catching the diffuse daylight. From behind, the manatee's broad tail and rounded body fill the frame, its flippers held gently against its sides. The water remains still, with no visible currents disturbing the scene. Fine sediment settles on the rocky bottom below, while bubbles rise slowly from the animal's breathing. The muted winter light casts no sharp shadows, only a gentle, even glow across the submerged form.
