Twilight Ship Wake Carving Cobalt California Sea

Low-hanging gray clouds press against the horizon where a distant California town glows with amber and white streetlights. The ocean surface is a deep, saturated cobalt, broken by the white froth of a ship's wake stretching from the bottom edge toward the center. Churning water creates a textured path of foam that contrasts sharply with the smooth, dark sea. The sky above transitions from slate blue to a faint, fading violet. Heavy moisture hangs in the air, visible as a soft haze blurring the edges of the town lights. The wake curves gently, its white crests catching the last ambient light before fading into the deep water. A small wave crest near the foreground shows translucent green water trapped beneath the foam.
