Stingray Half Buried in Sand Near Marseille

Bright midmorning sunlight penetrates the clear, dry mountain water, illuminating a wide panoramic underwater view near Marseille. A stingray lies half-buried in the pale sandy bottom, its smooth, grey-brown skin blending with the sediment. Only the dark eyes protrude slightly above the surface, observing the surroundings. Fine plankton particles create a soft haze that diffuses the background, softening distant details without obscuring the foreground. The water remains still, holding the ray in a state of drifting weightlessness. Small ripples on the sand surface reflect the overhead light, while the texture of the ray's skin shows subtle ridges against the smooth grains. The horizon fades into a pale blue mist, marking the edge of the visible world.
