Pale first light falls through exceptionally clear turquoise water, illuminating a white sandy seabed beside a dark volcanic drop-off. A snorkeler floats face-down, legs trailing, directly above a flat gray stingray gliding slowly across the sand. The stingray's smooth skin catches the morning rays, creating a soft glow against the rougher texture of the volcanic rock wall rising in the background. Surface ripples distort the light into shifting patterns that dance across the snorkeler's mask and the ray's back. Fine sand grains swirl gently near the ray's tail, settling as the creature moves. The dark edge of the volcanic cliff contrasts sharply with the bright, sunlit sand in the foreground.
