Zebra Shark Resting on Sand Near Reef

Sunlight penetrates the turquoise water to illuminate a zebra shark resting on a bed of white sand. The shark's spotted skin displays dark brown bands against a pale background, curving over its dorsal ridge as it lies motionless beside a dark coral rubble crevice. Tiny suspended particles glitter throughout the water column, catching the midday tropical light and creating a field of floating sparks. The coral fragments surrounding the crevice show rough, broken textures in shades of grey and muted brown. Light rays filter downward, casting shifting patterns of brightness across the sandy floor and the shark's smooth scales. The water remains clear, revealing the fine grain of the sand particles settling around the creature's fins.
