Manta Ray Barrel Roll Dawn Seagrass Barcelona

Deep shadow envelops the seagrass meadow as a manta ray executes a barrel roll above the sandy bottom. Pale rim light traces the curved edges of its dark pectoral fins, separating the silhouette from the murky water. Fine plankton haze softens the distance, blurring the boundary between the meadow and the open sea. The water holds a still, otherworldly blue tone, typical of early spring at first light. From behind, the ray's movement creates a gentle swirl in the sediment. A faint ripple of disturbed sand marks the trailing edge of its wing against the dark seabed.
