Cold silver light falls through the water, illuminating a zebra shark resting motionless on a bed of white sand. The shark's spotted skin contrasts sharply with the pale grains beneath it, while scattered coral rubble frames the creature's stillness. A soft haze of plankton drifts through the water column, blurring the background where a dark reef crevice opens into the distance. The scene shows the quiet of first light, with the shark's elongated body stretching horizontally across the sandy floor. Tiny particles of sediment hang suspended in the water, catching the dim morning glow. The edge of the coral rubble casts a faint, soft shadow on the sand to the right of the shark. Plankton density increases toward the back, creating a layered depth that fades into the gray-blue water.
