Diver Surfaces with Sea Urchin Net on Rocky Coast

Flat noon light washes the scene in a harsh, tropical glare that bleaches color from the wet kelp clinging to the diver's shoulders. A figure emerges from the water, water streaming from a heavy net brimming with spiny purple sea urchins. The rocky coast forms a jagged backdrop against a sky softened by sea haze drifting along the horizon. Early spring air hangs heavy in the humid light. Foreground bokeh blurs blades of beach grass, framing the diver's upward gaze. The texture of the urchin spines catches the light, creating sharp highlights against the dark, wet rubber of the diver's suit. A final ripple spreads across the water's surface near the diver's waist.
