Suspended sand particles shimmer in the honeyed evening light as a massive manta ray glides over a sandy channel. The water remains exceptionally clear, revealing the textured seagrass meadow below in Sicily. Slow-moving surface ripples distort the fading sunlight, creating shifting patterns of gold and deep blue across the ray's smooth, dark skin. Layers of depth recede into the distance, where the seagrass blades sway gently beneath the filter of clear water. The scene holds a stillness that feels otherworldly, defined by the contrast between the dark silhouette of the ray and the glowing, particle-filled water. A faint shadow of the ray stretches across the sandy bottom, marking its slow passage through the illuminated current.
