Moray Eel Emerging from Reef Ledge at Sunset

Deep blue water envelops a dark crevice beneath a coral ledge where a grey-brown moray eel pushes its head upward. Sunlight filters from the surface above, casting a warm golden rim along the water's edge and illuminating suspended sand particles that glitter like dust in the column. The eel's smooth, wet skin reflects the fading orange horizon light while its open mouth reveals rows of sharp teeth. Surrounding the crevice, rough coral textures contrast with the fluid motion of the water. Tiny specks of sediment float near the eel's gills, catching the last rays of daylight before the ocean fades into twilight. One grain of sand rests on the eel's snout.
