Soft, diffused midday light falls through the water column, illuminating a snorkeler suspended horizontally above a vibrant coral garden near Cebu. The swimmer wears a dark mask and red fins, their body creating a gentle silhouette against the pale blue haze of suspended plankton. Below, clusters of branching stony coral in muted browns and grays rise from the sandy seabed, their textures sharp in the foreground but softening with distance. The water remains still, holding the swimmer in a weightless suspension without ripples. Tiny bubbles rest on the regulator hose, drifting slowly upward. The reef crevice behind the subject casts a faint, cool shadow across the sand, at the base of the figure in the shallow marine environment.
