Behind the school, a dark reef crevice opens into shadow, while the background dissolves into a soft, milky haze of suspended plankton. Hard coastal glare creates sharp highlights on the fish bodies and the water surface above. Tiny particles float in the midday light, catching the sun and adding depth to the water column. The composition focuses on the swirling motion from behind the fish, revealing their backs as they circle the central structure. One scale catches the light, glowing like a tiny mirror against the darker water.
