Parrotfish in Green Light Near Cairns Kelp Edge

Emerald and azure hues dominate the frame as a parrotfish hovers along the edge of a kelp bed. Sunlight penetrates the monsoon-clear water in shifting beams, illuminating suspended sand grains that sparkle like floating dust. The fish scales reflect the broken surface ripples above, creating a mosaic of light and shadow across its body. Behind the subject, the deep blue expanse stretches toward a coral wall, while the kelp sways gently in the slow-moving current. Fine particles drift lazily through the green underwater atmosphere, catching the golden afternoon rays. A cluster of illuminated sand grains rests against the dark silhouette of a kelp frond in the foreground.
