Pale orange and white juvenile fish cluster beneath the intricate, branching arms of a staghorn coral colony. The coral structure rises from a sandy seabed, its porous texture highlighted by the soft, diffused light filtering down from the surface. Tiny suspended particles glitter throughout the blue-green water column, catching the overhead illumination like scattered dust. The background dissolves into a gentle blur of turquoise and muted reef tones, isolating the sheltering school against the depth. Fine details of the fish scales shimmer where they press against the rough, calcified ridges of the coral branches. One shadow falls across the lower limb of the coral, at the base of the scene in the quiet stillness of the shallows.
