Tropical Fish School Costa Rica Monsoon Light

Hard coastal glare fractures across the surface of exceptionally clear water, casting shifting patterns of white and turquoise onto a dense school of tropical fish. The monsoon season brings slow-moving ripples that distort the sunlight into dancing shards, illuminating the vibrant scales of orange, blue, and yellow as they glide in unison. Layers of depth recede into the distance, where the water transitions from bright surface highlights to a deep, shadowed azure. Individual fish maintain tight formation, their fins cutting through the fluid medium without disturbance. The water clarity reveals every scale texture and the subtle curvature of their bodies against the sunlit backdrop. One ray of light catches the edge of a silver flank, creating a sharp, bright highlight against the darker water.
