Warm amber light penetrates the exceptionally clear water, illuminating the intricate lattice of a sea fan coral against a deep blue backdrop. The fan's delicate branches sway slightly in a gentle current, their texture appearing soft yet rigid. Sunlight falls through slow-moving surface ripples above, casting shifting patterns of brightness across the coral's orange and cream hues. Tiny plankton particles drift lazily in the beam of light, suspended in the cool season water. The tight framing isolates the organism, highlighting the contrast between the vibrant organic structure and the vast, calm blue expanse behind it. A fine shadow stretches along the base where the coral meets the dark rock.
