Manta Ray Somersaults in Plankton Cloud

Sunlight pierces the water column, fracturing into shifting ribbons of gold and white that dance across the frame. A massive manta ray dominates the center, its dark silhouette outlined sharply against the bright surface above. The creature executes a tight somersault, its broad pectoral fins curling inward as it spins through a dense cloud of suspended plankton. Tiny particles glitter intensely within the caustic patterns, creating a field of scattered light that obscures the background. To the left, the dark, vertical fronds of kelp sway gently, anchoring the scene to a rocky shelf. The water clarity is high, allowing the fine details of the ray's skin texture to remain visible even in shadow. At the bottom edge, the dark shape of a submerged rock breaks the gradient of blue.
