Flying Fish Over Seagrass Meadow in Salvador

Sunlight reflects intensely off the rippling surface of the Atlantic, creating a shimmering silver plane that dominates the upper frame. A flying fish arcs through the air, its silver scales catching the noon glare while its pectoral fins extend like rigid wings. Below the surface, a dense meadow of green seagrass sways gently in the wet season currents. Suspended particles glitter throughout the water column, turning the submerged depths into a field of scattered diamond dust. The water transitions from a bright, washed-out turquoise near the surface to a deeper, translucent blue where the grass blades stand tall. One fin tip breaks the water's skin, sending a tiny spray of droplets that hang momentarily in the harsh light before falling back into the sea.
