Manta Ray Somersaults Over Hokkaido Seagrass

Golden afternoon light falls through crystal-clear water, illuminating a massive manta ray mid-somersault. The creature's diamond-shaped pectoral fins ripple through a dense cloud of microscopic plankton that glows white against the deep blue. Below, a vibrant green seagrass meadow stretches across the sandy floor, its blades swaying gently in the slow current. Sharp caustic patterns dance across the ray's dark grey skin, creating a mosaic of shifting light and shadow. The water remains exceptionally clear, revealing fine details of the ray's smooth texture and the delicate fronds of the seagrass. One blade of grass bends under the gentle wake of the ray's passing.
