Fusilier School Streaming Along Zanzibar Reef Drop

Brilliant orange and blue fusiliers form a dense, undulating ribbon against the dark vertical wall of a volcanic reef overhang. Late morning sunlight penetrates the clear tropical water, fracturing into sharp, dancing caustics that sweep across the fish scales. Tiny suspended particles glitter in the water column, catching the light like scattered diamonds around the school. The shallow depth of field blurs the distant reef background into soft greens and browns, keeping the focus tight on the swimming fish. Their bodies align perfectly, moving in unison along the drop-off. One silver scale on the nearest fish reflects a bright, jagged highlight against the darker stone.
