Sunlight pierces clear tropical water, fracturing into shifting patterns of gold and white caustics that dance across the coral below. A snorkeler floats horizontally above a vibrant reef overhang, their body suspended in the water column. The volcanic rock of the Zanzibar coastline rises in the background, softened by a haze of plankton that blurs distant details. Small fish dart near the branching corals, their scales flashing in the filtered light. The water carries a cool, blue tint, against the warm hues of the reef structures. The snorkeler's mask reflects the overhead light, while bubbles rise slowly from their regulator. The surface of the water creates a shimmering ceiling above, distorting the view of the sky. A cluster of orange gorgonians stands out against the gray volcanic stone.
