Clownfish Blue Hole Volcanic Reef Zanzibar

Vibrant orange and white stripes of a clownfish stand out against the deep, suspended blue of a volcanic reef overhang near Zanzibar. The fish hovers within a narrow, shadowed aperture cut into the dark rock, framed by the broken surface ripples above that scatter the noon light into soft, diffused patches. Fine suspended particles glitter throughout the water column, catching the ambient glow and creating a dense, glittering haze. The rock surface appears rough and textured, against the smooth, translucent fins of the fish. A subtle reflection of the fish's body shimmers on the wet interior edge of the blue hole.
