Silhouetted Clownfish in Blue Hole Near Zanzibar

Deep blue water fills the frame where a clownfish floats in silhouette against the fading surface light. The fish's orange and white bands are dark shadows, its fins spread slightly as it hovers near a jagged reef crevice. Above, the water surface breaks into soft ripples that fracture the sunlight into shifting patterns. Fine suspended particles and plankton haze drift through the mid-ground, softening the distance and adding layers of depth to the scene. The water glows with a dusky, teal tone characteristic of early evening in the rainy season. Light filters down from above, illuminating the edges of the coral and the tiny floating specks. A faint reflection of the surface ripples dances across the fish's darkened flank.
