Horn Shark Resting on Kelp Forest Floor at Dawn

Sunlight pierces the surface haze, casting a soft, golden glow onto the sandy seabed of a California coastal channel. A horn shark lies motionless on the ocean floor, its mottled brown and gray skin merging seamlessly with the sediment and scattered blades of seagrass.
