A bleached white coral skeleton rests horizontally beside a vibrant section of the reef, its porous texture glowing against the darker, living polyps. Suspended particles glitter throughout the water column, catching the light like scattered diamonds. The skeleton appears silhouetted against the sunlit background, emphasizing its fragile structure. Fine sand covers the crevice floor, while the healthy coral displays deep greens and subtle browns. The water remains still, holding the floating specks in a suspended state. A shadow from the reef edge falls across the sandy bottom.
