Reef Shark in Lighthouse Beam Over Sandy Channel

Cool blue water fills the frame where a grey reef shark glides horizontally above a pale sandy channel. A sweeping beam of white light cuts through the darkness from above, illuminating suspended sand particles that glitter like scattered diamonds in the water column. The shark's sleek body reflects the intense illumination against the deep navy background of the night sea. Fine grains of sand drift in the current, catching the light in fleeting sparks. The creature moves with silent precision near a dark reef crevice that anchors the lower left corner. Sharp edges of light define the shark's dorsal fin against the surrounding gloom.
