Walrus Diving Toward Mussel Bed in Hokkaido
Dappled sunlight falls through the dense kelp canopy, illuminating a vast underwater shelf where a walrus descends toward a cluster of mussels. The animal's thick, wrinkled hide and prominent tusks are visible against the deep blue water. Sunlight creates shifting patterns of bright gold and soft green across the rocky seabed. Tiny suspended particles glitter throughout the water column, catching the light like scattered diamonds. The kelp fronds sway gently above, framing the scene in a wide panoramic view. The walrus extends its whiskers forward as it approaches the mussel bed. A final beam of light strikes the wet surface of a dark mussel shell near the bottom right corner.
