Sea Otter Diving in Kelp Forest Havana

Sunlight penetrates the clear tropical water, illuminating a sea otter suspended above a cold-water reef edge. The otter dives downward, paws reaching toward the rocky floor beneath a canopy of swaying kelp fronds. Fine plankton haze softens the background distance, creating layers of blue-green depth. The water surface above reflects the late-afternoon sky, casting dappled patterns across the otter's dark, wet fur. Brown kelp stalks sway gently in the current, framing the animal against the bright, open water. A small cluster of purple urchins rests on a jagged rock near the otter's outstretched hand.
