Silhouette of Minke Whale Feeding in Kelp Forest

Golden hour light falls through the water, casting the massive form of a minke whale into a dark silhouette against the bright surface. The creature glides horizontally through a dense cloud of Antarctic krill, their tiny bodies catching the backlight to create a shimmering, hazy texture that softens the distance. Tall kelp fronds sway gently along the rocky shelf, their dark green stalks rising vertically to meet the water's surface. The scene is still, dominated by deep blues and the warm, diffused glow of the setting sun. Fine particles of plankton drift in the current, blurring the edges of the whale's fluke as it moves through the clear, cold water. One strand of kelp hangs vertically near the whale's pectoral fin.
