Manta Ray Somersaults in Night Kelp Forest

A massive manta ray flips sideways through a dense cloud of bioluminescent plankton within a California kelp forest. A sweeping beam of white lighthouse light cuts through the dark water, illuminating the ray's pale underbelly and the swirling microorganisms. Tall, slender kelp fronds rise vertically in the background, their edges softening into the murky blue distance. The water carries a thick haze of suspended particles that scatter the light into glowing specks. The ray's wide pectoral fins catch the beam, revealing smooth, grey skin texture against the dark green stalks. Fine details of the plankton cloud obscure the farthest kelp, leaving only the immediate foreground sharp and clear.
