Manta Ray Barrel Roll at Dubrovnik Cleaning Station

Sunlight pierces the exceptionally clear water, illuminating a manta ray executing a tight barrel roll against a kelp-fringed shelf. The creature's broad, diamond-shaped wings span the frame, their smooth, slate-grey undersides catching the first rays of sunrise. Delicate white spots dot the dark skin, against the deep azure hue of the surrounding sea. Kelp fronds sway gently near the rocky edge, their green blades blurred by the slow-moving surface ripples. The water remains still, creating an otherworldly blue quietness that isolates the animal. Fine bubbles trail from the manta's mouth as it turns, suspended in the midsummer light.
