Snorkeler Gliding Over Stingray in Kelp Forest

Orange low-angle light falls through the water, casting a copper glow on the white sandy bottom where a stingray rests. A snorkeler drifts directly above, their silhouette framed by the long, swaying fronds of a kelp forest near Manoa. The water remains exceptionally clear, revealing the texture of the sand grains and the smooth skin of the ray. Slow-moving surface ripples distort the light just above the subjects, creating shifting patterns of brightness and shadow. The kelp stems rise vertically, their dark green surfaces against the warm illumination. The snorkeler's fins hover motionless in the suspended space between the canopy and the seabed. A faint blue tint lingers in the deep background, separating the warm foreground from the distant water column.
