Silhouetted Horn Shark in Dawn Kelp Forest

Deep shadow cloaks the seagrass channel floor near Sant Antoni, Barcelona, where a horn shark rests motionless against the dim kelp forest. First light falls through the water column from above, casting a sharp rim of silver along the shark's textured, saddle-patterned skin. Suspended particles glitter in the mid-water, catching the weak dawn rays and creating a field of scattered points. The subject appears as a dark, heavy form against the brightening surface, its spiny dorsal fin outlined clearly. Kelp fronds sway gently nearby, their brown blades blending into the murky depths. The water feels still, with the only movement being the slow drift of the shark's tail and the shimmering dust of light.
