Wet Season Asylum Corridor with Dust Light in through a shattered institutional hallway with debris underfoot near Chittagong

Wet Season Asylum Corridor with Dust Light

by Martha Savage

Cool, gray morning light streams through shattered window frames, illuminating dust particles suspended in the air of a decaying institutional hallway. The floor is slick with wet season moisture, littered with broken concrete, peeling paint chips, and scattered debris. Tall, heavy doors hang ajar on rusted hinges, revealing dark, empty rooms on either side. The low angle view emphasizes the towering, water-stained walls and the depth of the corridor. Puddles reflect the gray sky outside, while damp patches rest on the baseboards. A long crack runs down the center of the tiled floor, leading toward the distant, broken exit.
