Warm firelight glows against a heavy gray sky where a brief sun shower falls across the courtyard. An abandoned police station stands as a dark silhouette, its holding cells gaping open like empty ribs. Vines and ferns spill from the broken masonry of the nearby ceremonial court, their wet leaves glistening under the low sun. The ground is a patchwork of mud and puddles reflecting the orange horizon. Concrete pillars frame the open cell doors, revealing the empty interior against the bright sky. Raindrops streak the air, catching the light as they fall toward the overgrown earth where nature slowly reclaims the stone.
