Uphill Water Flowing Asylum Corridor Cua in along a derelict corridor with peeled paint and pooled water near Cúa

Uphill Water Flowing Asylum Corridor Cua

by Yusuf Bowman

Honeyed evening light floods the derelict corridor, turning peeling paint into amber flakes that drift near the floor. Pooled water gathers in the corners where lamplight settles, yet the liquid defies gravity by climbing the visible slope toward the highest point. Open doors frame empty rooms on either side, their interiors swallowed by shadow. The monsoon season leaves surfaces slick and glistening under the rich sunset glow. Water creeps upward along the concrete incline, gathering in a still pool at the apex. One droplet hangs suspended on the wall edge, reflecting the amber sky above.
