Dark walls of a shattered institutional hallway in Kenya recede into shadow, bisected by thick tree roots that split the floor. Green nettles rise through cracks in the concrete, while hanging vines drape from the ceiling like heavy curtains. A beam of projector light cuts across the gloom, illuminating dust and the wet sheen of condensation on a nearby glass pane. Debris litters the ground underfoot, marking years of abandonment. The light reveals the rough texture of crumbling plaster against the smooth, wet surface of the glass. one drop of water rests on the edge of the glass, poised to fall.
