Rusting Gurneys in Derelict Anhui Hospital Hallway

Peeled layers of white paint hang in long strips from the walls of a narrow corridor, revealing grey concrete beneath. Three metal gurneys sit abandoned in the center of the hallway, their frames covered in orange rust that flakes onto the floor. Puddles of stagnant water reflect the warm, flickering glow of string lights draped haphazardly along the ceiling beams. Late autumn leaves have found their way through cracks in the floorboards, scattered among the debris. The light from the bulbs casts deep shadows into the corners, illuminating dust motes suspended in the air. A rusted wheel of one gurney rests half-submerged in a shallow pool of water near the foreground, its tread pattern barely visible under the grime.
