Winter Abandoned Hotel Corridor Anchorage Ruin in along a ward corridor with broken glass and falling plaster in Anchorage

Winter Abandoned Hotel Corridor Anchorage Ruin

by Marvin Dixon

Pale, diffused afternoon light falls through high windows into a long corridor within an abandoned Anchorage hotel. Broken glass shards from boarded windows scatter across the floor, catching the soft gray glow of the winter sky. Plaster fragments hang from the ceiling and rest on the floorboards, suspended in the quiet space. Dark, empty doorways line both sides, creating layers of depth that recede into the distance. Warm interior shadows pool in the corners and beneath the door frames, against the cool blue tones of the daylight. A sheet of plywood leans against a peeling wall, its edges splintered by the cold air that has settled into the room.
