Seahorses on Gorgonian Fan Zanzibar Reef

Hard coastal glare illuminates two seahorses gripping a branching gorgonian sea fan. Their bodies display mottled browns and creams that match the coral's rough, porous texture. The volcanic reef overhang looms dark behind them, creating a stark contrast against the bright water. Tiny suspended particles glitter in the midmorning beam, catching the light like scattered diamonds. The water column remains clear yet filled with floating debris from the wet season. One seahorse faces left while the other angles slightly right, their tails coiled tightly around the fan's rigid spines. at the edge shows a small white speck resting on the curve of the nearest seahorse's snout.
