Vibrant orange light from the setting sun penetrates the clear water, illuminating a pair of seahorses clinging to the delicate, branching structure of a gorgonian sea fan. Their textured, bony plates reflect the warm glow against the deep blue backdrop of the ocean beyond the coral wall. Tiny suspended particles glitter like scattered diamonds in the water column, catching the low-angle rays. The sea fan sways slightly, its intricate lattice creating a complex foreground that contrasts with the smooth, receding layers of blue depth. A fine shadow falls across the lower branches, at the base of the subjects in the dimming light.
