Sea Lions Rest on Volcanic Rocks in Cartagena

Soft, overcast light diffuses evenly across a rugged volcanic shoreline where a colony of sea lions congregates. The dark, porous rock face drops sharply into exceptionally clear water that reveals the submerged shapes of the stones beneath. Several sea lions lie sprawled across the uneven terrain, their sleek, wet fur appearing dark brown against the grey stone. Gentle, slow-moving ripples disturb the surface of the water, creating a subtle texture that contrasts with the solid, immovable rocks. The scene recedes in layers, with the nearest animals sharply detailed while the distant water and sky merge into a hazy, cool-toned horizon. A small, pale seagull stands motionless on a jagged outcrop near the water's edge.
