Seal Colony Resting on Rocky Shore Amidst Dappled Light

Sunlight falls through overhanging foliage, casting shifting patches of bright gold and deep shadow across a rugged shoreline where a large seal colony rests. The animals, with wet, dark grey fur glistening under the midday sun, lie sprawled across jagged volcanic rocks near the water's edge. Below the shore, exceptionally clear water reveals the structure of a cold-water reef edge, its textures visible through slow-moving surface ripples that break the reflection of the sky. The scene sits at the turn of seasons, with sparse green leaves framing the top of the view against the stark, mineral tones of the rock. A seal in the foreground turns its head, its whiskers sharp against the blue water, while the reef below remains still and silent.
