Lava Flow Meets Ocean From Above
Dark, cooling lava snakes across the rugged foothills of Peru, ending where black rock meets the churning Pacific. The early evening sun hangs low, casting the entire foreground into deep silhouette against a sky filled with dramatic, layered clouds. The foothills display distinct geological strata, their contours sharp and defined by the backlighting. Water crashes against the hardened rock, sending up white plumes that contrast with the obsidian flow. The horizon stretches wide, separating the dark landmass from the lighter, cloud-filled sky. One wave breaks against the jagged edge of the cooled lava, its white foam tracing the rough texture of the stone.
