Harbor Seal Resting on Boulder in Indonesian Seagrass

Clear tropical water fills the frame, where glittering caustics dance across the smooth, wet surface of a submerged boulder. A harbor seal lies prone atop the rock, its spotted gray fur blending with the murky depths of the rainy season. Plankton haze softens the background, obscuring the distant seagrass channel while keeping the seal's sleek form sharp in the foreground. Sunlight falls through the water column, casting shifting patterns of light and shadow over the animal's flippers and whiskers. The water's greenish tint suggests the coastal environment of Indonesia. A faint reflection of the seal's head breaks the surface tension near the top edge of the frame.
