Copper-toned light washes over a towering wall of hexagonal basalt columns rising from the rugged Italian coast. Dark, wet stone surfaces glisten under the warm glow, reflecting the fading sky. Sea spray coats the vertical faces, creating a slick texture that mirrors the approaching dusk. Hazy moisture hangs low over the water, softening the horizon line where the sea meets the sky. The columns stand in rigid, geometric rows, their sharp edges softened by wind and constant wave action. One column on the left aligns with the rule of thirds, anchoring the view against the vast, churning gray water. Fine mist rests on the rock faces, visible as a thin layer of salt spray across the stone.
