Basalt Columns at Dawn Near Mumbai Coast

Golden sunlight spills across a towering wall of hexagonal basalt columns along the Mumbai shoreline. The stone surface displays rough, weathered textures where ocean spray has left salt-encrusted patches. Low-angle perspective emphasizes the verticality of the geological formation against a cloudless, pale blue sky. First light catches the sharp edges of the columns, creating a gradient from deep shadow at the base to bright highlights at the top. Small waves crash against the rock foundation, sending white foam up the uneven surfaces. The turn of seasons is visible in the dry, cracked earth at the column's foot and the sparse, hardy grasses clinging to crevices. One column edge reflects the morning sun, marking the boundary between the dark stone and the bright sky.
