Elephant Herd Crossing River at Golden Hour Sunset

Rich amber light washes over a wide river near Belo Horizonte as a herd of elephants moves through the wet season waters. Rain falls in steady sheets, creating ripples across the dark surface and glistening on the animals' wrinkled grey hides. Large bodies stand patient and still, their massive legs submerged in the flowing current. The sky glows with warm orange tones that reflect off the wet earth along the riverbank. Mist rises slightly from the water where the rain strikes. The elephants' ears rest flat against their heads as they navigate the current, their trunks held high. One raindrop rests on the edge of a front ear, catching the fading light before sliding down.
