Elephants Crossing River at Sunset Jeddah

Orange low-angle light floods the wind-scoured ridge near Jeddah, illuminating a herd of elephants wading through a shallow river. Low-hanging clouds cast long shadows across the dusty banks while the animals' gray, wrinkled skin glows against the warm backdrop. A natural rock arch frames the crossing, creating a window that isolates the massive figures against the fading sky. Fine dust particles hang suspended in the beam of light, settling slowly on the wet stones. The water ripples around their thick legs, reflecting the deep amber hues of the setting sun. A large tusk catches the final ray of light, gleaming white against the dark, wet earth.
